State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP)

Home Buyer Programs (Pensacola and Escambia County)

This program helps you get financial help up to $12,500. You can use this as down payment and closing cost aid. The terms are under the forgivable loan. Hence, if you follow the terms, you do not need to pay it back. If you want to apply to it, your house must be built after 1978. Make sure the property should be within Escambia County in Pensacola. Remember, you must take part in a home buyer education program. HUD maintains this program. And the length of the course should go for 8 hours.

Pensacola Housing Program

The program is available as a forgivable loan. You can get up to $15,000 in down payment and closing cost. In order to be eligible for the program, you must follow some terms.
 
You must be from low to moderate income families. At the same time, your home must be within Pensacola County.

Purchase Assistance Program

The eligible applicants get up to $7,000 for the same purposes. This program has the Tallahassee Lender’s Consortium managing it. However, you must come from low income family or moderate family to be eligible.
